DOJO KUN (MOTTO)

The "Dojo Kun" is the club motto or oath of the karateka. It is recited at every training session, usually at the end of each class. After the usual "Mokuso" or meditation period and prior to the Rei (formal bow) the Dojo senior will call out the Dojo Kun one line at a time. The entire class will immediately repeat back each line. The oath should always be recited with vigour and spirit. The Dojo Kun embodies all we are trying to achieve through the physical and mental efforts of our training.

Karate begins with courtesy, disciplines the mind and body, builds character, promotes respect, ends with courtesy and leads to Wa-No-Michi (peace in one's life).
