TAI SHI KAI WADO-RYU KARATE

OUR VALUES & STANDARDS

 1.   RESPECT:   Courtesy and respect are two vital ingredients not

only for our martial arts but for everyone we come into contact

with. Always be polite and considerate to others. Remember that

      no-one likes to be offended.

2.   HONESTY:  Be honest and truthful to one another. Encourage

honesty in others. With honesty truth prevails. Cherish both

      fervently.

3.   COMMITMENT: Dedication to improving your life and the lives

of those around you by giving 100% always, whatever your

endeavour. Commitment and obligation are their own reward.

4.   LOYALTY:  Give loyalty your art, your teachers, your peers and

your dojo. Loyalty helps create a bond and a sense of belonging.

      Loyalty helps strengthen one’s resolve.

5.   INTEGRITY: To offer assurance and reliability to those

who follow. Upholding the strong moral fibre that binds us as a

family and giving meaning to what we aspire to achieve.  Always

      striving to do one’s best.

6.   FRIENDSHIP: Friendships and camaraderie are formed when

mutual admiration and sincerity merge. True friendships are

forged and strengthened when trust becomes part of that merger.

7.   PROFESSIONALISM: A value one should apply to all aspects of

life. Not just certificates but the quality, skill and effort to teach at

the highest standards always and the ability to understand the

different needs and desires of those you teach to enable them to

      reach their full potential.

8.   COOPERATION & TEAMWORK: Working together in

harmony to produce a positive outcome for all members, not just

the individual. Helping each other grow by sharing and caring and

being mindful of each others views.

9.   CONFIDENCE:  Helping each student build self esteem and a

positive sense of pride in their accomplishments. Using the

students energy and determination to help build and mould their

character without an end result of  egotism and self importance.

10. SUCCESS:  True success is the end result of hard work. Having

the passion and desire is fine but it’s through the blood sweat

and tears and the years of pounding the boards that will get us the

results that we seek. Having aspirations and setting goals, working

hard with your teachers and peers is when you finally realize what

is essential in achieving those goals. Remember, that which is not

earned is never really appreciated. Striving to do our best and

always putting in 100% effort will lead you to a happy and

      harmonious lifestyle.

Never give in.

Together, we at Tai Shi Kai are committed to providing quality Karate training and genuine friendship to everyone who enters our dojos.
